Nascens

Venture Formation Intelligence

The IC knows which dimension broke before the next session.

Most programs assess ventures by feel. Nascens tracks the six dimensions that determine whether a venture is forming, validating, or stalling — and Nascens-Pivot routes every broken dimension to the specific tool that can fix it.

Two products. One intelligence layer.

Product 01

Nascens

The formation intelligence layer. Nascens normalizes every venture interaction — pitch, session, transcript — into a structured 6-dimension signal vector, assigns an opportunity state, and produces ranked guidance for the mentor before the next session.

  • 6-dimension AVS: Problem · Solution · Market · Team · Evidence · Assumptions
  • 7 opportunity states tracked per venture, per session
  • NOVEL → COMPARABLE → ESTABLISHED confidence tiers
  • Population database compounds with every interaction

Product 02

Nascens-Pivot

The routing and recovery layer. Nascens-Pivot activates after a weak or no-go IC verdict. It identifies which of the six dimensions caused the failure, determines whether it is fixable, and routes the venture to the specific external tool that addresses it.

  • Activates on WEAK · WATCH · PASS IC verdicts
  • Routes to Atlas verticals or Venus re-engineering engine
  • Hard-block detection: HARD_NO_GO when no tool can help
  • Verdict states: VIABLE_WITH_CONDITIONS · REDIRECT · HARD_NO_GO

The problem

The IC knows a venture scored 0.38. It doesn't know what to do about it.

Every evaluation tool in market waits for the IC to form a view, then helps document it. None tells the IC which dimension caused the weak score. None routes the broken dimension to the specific tool that can fix it.

A mentor sits across from a founder at Session 2. The venture scored 0.38. The solution dimension is the specific problem. Venus can address it. Pivot confidence is 0.68. The venture is a WATCH — not a PASS.

Without Nascens, the mentor knows the venture is weak. With Nascens and Nascens-Pivot, the mentor knows exactly which dimension broke, whether it is fixable, and where to send the venture before the next session.

That is the gap the Nascens platform was built to close.

Nascens — The six dimensions

Every venture, the same signal.

Nascens normalizes every interaction — a pitch deck, a mentor session transcript, a demo day feedback form — into a structured 6-dimension signal vector. The dimensions are the same across every venture, every cohort, every program.

Nascens-Pivot — What happens after WEAK

The IC routed the venture. Not passed it. Not failed it.

After the WEAK IC verdict on EduVerify, Nascens-Pivot activates. It identifies Solution (0.22) as the broken dimension, confirms it is addressable, and routes the venture to Venus — the re-engineering engine — with a structured pivot plan and a confidence score of 0.68.

VIABLE_WITH_CONDITIONS

Pivot confidence

0.68
Broken dimension: Solution (0.22) — below viable threshold of 0.40
Route: Venus re-engineering engine — solution architecture and differentiation
Secondary: Evidence (0.28) — Atlas FS for traction and trajectory validation
Condition: Re-score after 2 Venus sessions. Advance to WATCH if Solution ≥ 0.45.
Problem (0.82) and Team (0.70) are above floor. Hard-block not triggered. Problem and Team cannot be manufactured — if either were below 0.30, this verdict would be HARD_NO_GO.

The compound thesis

The database is the moat.

From the first venture interaction, Nascens provides guidance derived from its LLM normalization layer — labeled novel to be precise about its basis. That guidance is useful immediately.

As your program processes ventures — dozens, then hundreds — every signal vector joins an anonymized population database. Stage transitions become empirical, not estimated. Guidance migrates from novel to comparable to established as the evidence base grows. Every scored venture adds switching cost.

The threshold is approximately 500 venture interactions. Below that, Nascens provides LLM-derived guidance — honest, structured, and consistently applied. Above that, the system references real comparable trajectories and confidence intervals narrow. The architecture is designed for both states.

Who it serves

Three entry points, one intelligence layer.

University Programs

Entrepreneurship centers & I-Corps nodes

Annual cohorts, faculty-led review, NSF reporting requirements. Nascens structures the formation signal and produces outcome data that demonstrates program value to funders and deans.

University programs →

Accelerators

Seed & pre-seed programs

Multiple cohorts per year, mentor networks, investor demo days. Nascens gives managing directors a population view across cohorts and lets mentors see the ventures they're most equipped to help.

Accelerator programs →

Early-Stage Investors

EIRs, angels, and IC committees

Individual mentors and IC members working across multiple ventures. Nascens gives them a structured signal view per venture and flags which broken dimension maps to their domain expertise — and which tool addresses it.

Early access

We're looking for anchor institutions.

Nascens is in early-access engagement with university entrepreneurship programs, accelerators, and mentor networks. Anchor institutions help shape the product, contribute early population data, and receive preferential pricing in perpetuity.

If your program processes more than 20 ventures per year and you want formation intelligence that compounds, we want to talk.
