How it activates

Every weak verdict triggers the routing layer.

Nascens produces an IC verdict at each session: INVEST · WATCH · WEAK · PASS. When the verdict is WEAK, WATCH, or PASS and the composite falls below the viable threshold, Nascens-Pivot activates automatically.

It does not wait for the IC to identify the problem. It reads the signal vector, determines which dimension is the binding constraint, checks whether that dimension has a tool coverage path, and produces a structured pivot plan in the same session output.

The three pivot verdicts

Honest about what a tool can and cannot fix.

Nascens-Pivot produces one of three structured verdicts. The verdict is not an opinion — it is derived from the signal vector, the tool coverage matrix, and the hard-block rules applied to Problem and Team.

VIABLE_WITH_CONDITIONS

The venture is fixable.

The broken dimension has tool coverage. A structured route exists. The pivot plan specifies the tool, the condition for re-scoring, and the expected timeline. The IC routes — not passes, not fails.

Example: Solution 0.22 → Venus. Re-score after 2 sessions. Advance to WATCH if Solution ≥ 0.45.

REDIRECT

The venture needs a different path.

Multiple dimensions are below threshold. No single tool addresses the binding constraint. Nascens-Pivot routes to a sequenced multi-tool plan, or recommends a program-level redirection to a more appropriate cohort or track.

Example: Solution 0.22 + Evidence 0.28 → Atlas FS first, then Venus after traction signal. Sequenced, not parallel.

HARD_NO_GO

No tool can help.

Problem or Team are below the floor threshold. No external tool manufactures a market problem or replaces a founding team. Nascens-Pivot surfaces this immediately — before the IC spends another session on an unfixable venture.

Problem ≤ 0.30 or Team ≤ 0.30 triggers HARD_NO_GO. Conditional resolution paths for team blocks are generated — but the verdict is honest.

The hard-block rule is architecturally enforced. Problem and Team have no tool coverage in the routing matrix. No external tool can manufacture a market problem or replace a founding team. When either dimension falls below the floor, Nascens-Pivot does not generate a false pivot path. This is the most important function of the routing layer — the IC is told the truth before the next session.

The routing matrix

Six dimensions. Six routes.

Each of the six AVS dimensions maps to a specific tool or vertical in the routing matrix. When a dimension falls below the viable threshold, Nascens-Pivot selects the route based on signal score, confidence tier, and opportunity state.
